Sports Tourism

Sports tourism combines two powerful economic drivers.

The sports tourism market is driven by travel teams, showcase events, and local use when not hosting tournaments. When properly planned, sports tourism facilities can improve local sports participation while producing millions of dollars in tourism spend.

Atlanta Metropolitan Pull Factor

Over 90% of local athletes within a 30-minute drive of the Atlanta Metro have will use of the facility.

Centrally location, with Hartsfield Jackson Airport being the busiest airport in the world, as a tourist driving force.

This project can create up to 500 jobs.

Building the facility creates construction jobs. After that, the sustainable jobs are established once the facility is completed, resulting in growing part-time and full-time operational opportunities.

Economic Impact

Potential $50MM

The people who attend games or work for the teams generate new spending in the community, expanding local employment. Also, teams attract tourists and companies to the host city, further increasing local spending and jobs. Finally, all this new spending has a “multiplier effect” as increased local income causes still more new spending and job creation.

This facility will be a stellar addition to the Atlanta Metropolitan Area and to the development of Clayton County, GA. As far as sports complexes in the Atlanta Metro - there are little to none and out of South Atlanta, there are none.

Impacting Clayton County

Our Advantages

Clayton Sports Complex has a very large potential market. Because of the small number of sports and training facilities in Clayton County and the Atlanta Metro area, we feel it will become the number one sports and fitness complex quickly. This will be accomplished by actively and continuously promoting Clayton Sports Complex through radio and media advertisements as well as through hosting and supporting various community events. Clayton Sports Complex's competitive edge is two-fold.

First, Clayton Sports Complex is the only multisport complex that offers multiple full-size hard courts, turf fields, and multiuse sports spaces that are available for the members and the community to use and/or rent. On top of this, the scope and variation of the programs that will be run from this facility are unmatched by any other club in the area.

The second part of our competitive edge is the location, size, and appearance of the facility that will attract many people into the complex. By maintaining our focus in our strategy, marketing, program development, and fulfillment, Clayton Sports Complex will be known as the top sports and fitness complex in Clayton County. We should be aware, however, that our competitive edge may be diluted if we become complacent in our program development and implementation. It will be important for Clayton Sports Complex to keep up with the current trends in both sport and fitness programs.
